Overview
If you are running in the 2017 Boston Marathon, the date of RACE-MANIA most likely coincides with you and fellow runners coming off your last long run… that means it’s time to taper! In this session you’ll get tapering tips from coach Scott Carrier of Breakthrough Performance Coaching (BPC) and have a unique opportunity to ask Boston Marathon Race Director and endurance legend Dave McGillivray anything you ever wanted to know about this iconic race.
About Dave McGillivray
Race director, philanthropist,  motivational speaker,  accomplished athlete.  Dave McGillivray is a professional with a purpose. From his extraordinary run across the U.S. to benefit the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 1978 to serving as technical director then race director of the BAA Boston Marathon since the 1980s, McGillivray has helped organize more than 900 mass participatory events since founding DMSE, Inc. in 1981, while raising millions for worthy causes close to his heart.
About Scott Carrier
Scott is a high performance coach with Breakthrough Performance coaching and holds certifications from the International Triathlon Coaching Association, Ironman University, and is a certified Heart Rate Performance Specialist.  Scott has frequently led track workouts and clinics for the Wicked Running Club in Salem, MA.
