THANK YOU FOR REGISTERING FOR THE PALM SPRINGS WILD TURKEY TROT 5K supporting the Mizell Center Meals on Wheels Program. This is a LIVE outdoor event! No masks required. Do stay safe and take your own personal precautions.
Our Annual WILD TURKEY TROT 5K will be held Thursday, Thanksgiving Morning, November 25th 8am Start - Certified 5K fast and flat course start and finish on Palm Canyon! Beautiful long sleeve tech T, zany turkey hat, mega finisher medal and finish line photo download. Support the Mizell Center Meals on Wheels Program that provides free and nutritious meals to homebound seniors! Grab your family and friends and register today! You will strut your stuff down iconic Palm Canyon on a very scenic and certified out and back route. Finisher medals for all participants! Age group medals 3-deep in 5 year age groups from 10 and under to 90+ Trophies for top 3 finishers in these categories: Male, Female, Challenged Athlete, Team, Stroller and Dog. We will have "grab and go awards" so that you can hurry home to get your dinner fixin's ready! Once the official times are posted, you will be able to check the charts and if you have won an age group medal or trophy, proceed to the awards table for pick-up. Just give them your age and name and they will give you your hardware!
Packet pick-up will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd and Wednesday, November 24th FROM 11AM - 5PM in the Ruth Hardy Park parking lot at 700 Tamarisk Road, Palm Springs 92262. Look for the Palm Springs Marathon Runners pop-up tent for pick-up. Packet pick-up will also be available race morning, on site, at 200 S. Palm Canyon, Palm Springs, CA 92262 beginning at 6:30AM. Race begins at 8AM. Late registration, if available, will be held at packet pick-up and race morning. Race cap is 1,500. Special EARLY BIRD packet pick-up on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, November 20, 21 and 22 from 11am - 4pm for anyone who registers prior to November 17th will be available at Ruth Hardy Park. You can also register in person November 20, 21, 22nd at Ruth Hardy Park for the $40 price. Price increases to $45, if space is available, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, November 23, 24, 25. This race is brought to you by the Palm Springs Marathon Runners with a reputation of awesome themed races supporting local charities! Complete the Palm Springs Trifecta (Run for Ike 5K, P.S. Wild Turkey Trot 5K, Santa Paws 5K) and receive a BONUS medal!
Course
This 5K certified course is runner, walker, stroller and doggie friendly and starts and finishes in downtown Palm Springs on iconic Palm Canyon. Run through beautiful neighborhoods on this fast and flat course. Show your holiday spirit and run as a turkey, pilgrim or in another festive outfit. Keep an eye out for Santa Claus who will be there to welcome in the holiday season!
Awards
Finisher medals for all! Age group medals awarded 3 deep in 5 year age categories through 90+. Trophies for top 3 finishers male, female, challenged athletes, strollers and 4-legged friends. Special trophies for our TOP TEN FINISHERS!
