Saint Bridget's 6th Annual Freaky Family Fun Run and Walk

Come join the fun at the 6th Annual Freaky Family 5k and Fun Run! SBS Freaky Family 5K Fun Run is a family-oriented event created to promote health, wellness, and community in our town. Each year we donate a portion of our proceeds to a needy local member(s) of our community. This year, a portion of our proceeds will be donated to The Miller Family, in honor of Jay who recently passed away from complications of melanoma. Jay was an Abington resident who was an air force veteran and dedicated his life to helping others. He spent the majority of his life working at the Boys and Girls club mentoring youth. Jay left behind his wife and beautiful young son who need our support during this difficult time. The race will also benefit James Conley, a member of the Saint Bridget School faculty who is battling colon cancer. Please help us support these worthy recipients.

•   8:45 am - Kids Fun Run 
•   9:00am - 5K Run & Walk
•   9:15am - Post Race Party/Food/Haunted House/Raffles

• Costumes - This is a Halloween themed events, costumes are encouraged and prizes will be given for the best boy and girl costumes. 

• Course - The course will start out on Central Street in front of St. Bridget's Church, turn right on Washington Street, right on Ralph Hamlin Jr. Lane, a short cut through Mount Vernon Cemetery (watch out for monsters and vampires!!) left on Central St., right on Park Ave, right on Centre Ave, right on Washington, right on Central.

• Awards - Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Men and Women and for the Top 3 on many age groups, <18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, >60. All kids in the kidS' race will receive a medal. 

• Post Race Party - Post-race party and awards ceremony will be held at Saint Bridget School parking lot. Free music, lots of food, bouncy house, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and even a haunted house. There will be a great raffle table with something for everyone. This is not to be missed!!!

• T-shirts - Every participant registered by September 30th will receive a top-quality dry-wick t-shirt.

• Number Pick-up - Number and shirts will be available for pick up the evening before the event, Friday, October 18, from 2:30pm-7pm at Saint Bridget School and the morning of the race beginning at 7:30 am.

• Registration - Online registration will close on Wednesday, October 16th, In-person registrations will be accepted at packet pick-up on Friday, October 19th and before the race starting at 7:30 am

• Parking Ample parking will be available at the school and church parking lots and additional parking is available at St Bridget School 455 Plymouth St Abington, MA 02351
