Event Information
Part of the programming line-up at the RACE-MANIA Summit & Expo, this workshop will focus on flexibility and strength to get comfortable in an aerodynamic triathlon bike position.
Description
This workshop will focus on flexibility and strength to get comfortable in an aerodynamic triathlon bike position. Led by triathlete and yoga instructor Steve Matava, attendees will use yoga poses and mobility work to increase range of motion in the hamstrings, hips, and back. Attendees will also use yoga poses and simple weight training to strengthen the core to allow the body to stay in the aero position for extended periods of time. Finally, the class will include a discussion of the basics of triathlon bike fit and aerodynamics which will inform the principles of the workshop.
What you need to bring
Attendees need to bring their yoga mat, but the instructor will bring all other props that will be used in the workshop (e.g. foam roller, firm balls, etc.).
