5K Race for the Kids

In its 6th edition, 5K Race for the Kids has moved to a new location, beautiful Virginia Key Beach in Miami. Enjoy a safe and friendly run through tropical Virginia Beach, perfect for kids and families looking for their first run as well as dedicated runners who will find a speedy road circuit. After the race, we welcome all participants to a delicious healthy gourmet breakfast including all kinds of treats for children and adults. All proceeds from the race will benefit Fundacion Manos del Sur, a non profit organization that since 1999 has provided education and financial assistance to thousands of children in Latin America. www.manosdelsur.org

Race Start: 7:30 AM

Preregister:

5K Run/Walk adults : $28

5K Run/Walk 12 and under: $20

5K Run/Walk on race day (6 to 7 AM): $35

Registration fees are non refundable.

Entrance to Virginia Key Beach Park is in front of Universty of Miami Rosenstiel School. If you come from Miami it is, before Bear Cut Bridge. if you come frome Key Biscayne is first exit after bridge. Arrive before 7 AM to avoid road closure. Parking available, a vehicle entrance fee is collected by the park.

Commemorative t-shirts will be given to the first 1,000 registrants.

Awards will be given as follows:
• Top 3 Male / Female Overall
• Top 3 Male / Female Masters
• Top 3 Male / Female in following age groups :
10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over for
both sexes.

Race Packet bag pick-up: Packets will be available for pick-up at iRun (5050 Biscayne Blvd, Miami 33137) from Monday, March 9 to Saturday March 14 from 12 PM to 6 PM.
If you register online, your packet will not be available until the following day.

Online registration closes on March 13 at midnight, You can register on Saturday at iRun 5050 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami 33137 from 10 AM to 6 PM or at the race from 6-7 PM.
