Event Information
Produced by the award-winning team at Sun Multisport Events and now in it's 19th year, Cranberry Trifest offers a terrific weekend of racing including a sprint distance triathlon and splash & dash on Saturday, August 15, 2020 and an olympic distance triathlon, aquabike and duathlon (NEW for 2020) on Sunday, August 16, 2020. All events take place at the Ted Williams Camp located at 28 Precinct Street in Lakeville, MA.

SATURDAY, 8/15/20

  • Sprint Tri: Swim: 0.5 mile; Bike: 14 miles; Run: 3.1 miles
  • Sprint Splash & Dash: Swim: 0.5 mile; Run 3.1 miles

SUNDAY, 8/16/20

  • Olympic Tri: Swim: 0.9 miles; Bike 26.2 miles; Run: 6.2 miles
  • Olympic Aquabike: Swim: 0.9 miles; Bike: 26.2 miles
  • Olympic Duathlon: Run 1.5 miles; Bike 26.2 miles; Run: 6.2 miles (NEW for 2020)

Families, Friends & Beginners
The Families, Friends and Beginners category is for athletes that want to be grouped in the same swim wave so they can start the race together.  Athletes in this category are not eligible for age group awards.

Sun Multisport Events offers you the "SprOly", a multi-race package consisting of 1 or 2 Sun Multisport sprint tris AND the Cranberry Trifest Olympic. The SprOly 2-pack is any ONE Sun Multisport sprint and the Cranberry Olympic and the SprOly 3-pack is any TWO Sun Multisport sprints and the Cranberry Olympic. Our sprint tris include:

  • Cranberry Sprint Tri (8/15/20; Lakeville, MA)
  • Pilgrimman Sprint Tri (9/19/20; Plymouth, MA)

Include the Cranberry Trifest Sprint as part of your SprOly and you will compete for the honor of being named the King or Queen of Cranberry Trifest.  The King and Queen are the male and female athletes with the fastest combined time from their participation in the Sprint and Olympic distance races.

Need a coach? Sun Multisport Events is proud to partner with Breakthrough Performance Coaching (BPC) as the Official Coach of our 2020 multisport race series. BPC is a high-touch endurance coaching service that will leave no stone unturned to help every athlete reaches their athletic potential. With education and experience encompassing physiology, nutrition, data analysis, mental preparation, and race execution, the coaches of BPC will be there every step of the way to help you be unstoppable on race day. USAT membership required

This race is a USAT sanctioned event and all participating athletes are required to have a valid USAT license. Athletes age 17 and under (as of 12/31/20) must purchase an annual license for $10 if they do not already have a current annual license. Athletes age 18 and older must have EITHER a valid annual license OR purchase a 1-day license for $15. If you do not have a valid USAT annual license when registering you will be prompted to purchase a 1-day (or an annual) license at the end of the registration process.

Refund, Deferral and Transfer Policies

Refunds : Refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to participate in the event after you have registered you have the option to either defer your entry to the next year’s Cranberry Trifest or transfer your entry to another Sun Multusport Events race. See below for the details on our Deferral and Transfer policies.

Deferrals: Deferral requests must be submitted in writing to info@SunMultisportEvents.com. Deferrals may be granted under certain circumstances (e.g. pregnancy, military transfer) at the discretion of Event Management. Deferrals granted will require that the athlete pay an administrative fee when redeeming the deferred entry the following year. Deferrals must be redeemed for the following year’s race (i.e. use it or lose it). The deferral fee schedule is as follows:

  • Deferrals requested on or before June 30, 2020 will pay a $25 deferral fee
  • Deferrals requested between July 1, 2020 and July 31, 2020 will pay a $35 deferral fee
  • NO DEFERRALS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER JULY 31, 2020
Transfers: Registered athletes that are unable to race may transfer to another SME race. Transfer requests must be submitted to info@SunMultisportEvents.com no less than 30 days from the race date. If the registration fee for the race transferred to is LESS than the registration fee already paid, the difference in price is forfeited. If the registration fee for the race transferred to is MORE than the registration fee paid you will be required to pay the difference in registration fees. Note that any USAT fees collected during the registration process are transmitted directly to USAT and are, therefore, not refundable by SME, but athletes can petition USAT for a refund or to have the 1-day license fee applied to another event (email them at membership@usatriathlon.org or call them at 719-955-2807) . Online processing fees are also non-refundable.

The exchange, transfer or sale of entries to other athletes is strictly prohibited.
