Event Cycling Sponsor
Road & Trail Bicycles continues to be our Cycling Sponsor for the 12th year, with expertise and supplies for all of your cycling needs. Yay! Road and Trail!! Thanks for all your SUPPORT!
Staging Location
We are excited that Front Page Brewing is now our permanent event location, hosting our ride and cyclists. We will have plenty for you to eat. Beer will be on you, so please bring some funds for an after ride beer or cider. Make note of their address, which is 190 S. Florida Avenue.
Parking & Staging
Since we are now at the Brewery we are suggesting that cyclists park at the Florida Fertilizer and Agrichemical Association, Inc. at 605 E. Main Street.  Enter on Summerlin which is on the South side of the building off of Main Street.

Day-Of Registration & Check-In
DAY-OF REGISTRATION AND CHECK-IN OPENS AT 7AM AND THE RIDE TAKES OFF AT 8AM.
About the Ride
As the largest organized road tour in Polk County, this is an on-road cycling tour along the scenic back roads of southern Polk County. Gently rolling roads take our cyclists across the Peace River Basin through expansive citrus groves and around the old Florida backwoods.
Three Different Scenic Routes
If you haven't ridden with us before, the scenic road tour features a 17 mile family fun ride, 35 mile and 65 mile road tour. Ride along and experience our tranquil countryside and settle into some hometown cycling hospitality when you return from your ride here in Beautiful Bartow. Registration is at 7am with an 8am ride start.
Shirts

We try our very best to make sure that everyone gets a rider t-shirt. Shirts are ordered 6 days before the event. If you register BEFORE the order goes in, you will get a shirt. The Day of Event, you most likely will not get a shirt. So please don't be disappointed. Those that registered early before t-shirt date cut off are accounted for.  SO IF YOU WANT A SHIRT REGISTER BY MARCH 1ST. Thank you for understanding.

Support

Yes, every route has a SAG vehicle following to be there in case you need us. It will have drinks, snacks, tubes and a pump. Everyone will receive a ride map that will have a number on it for emergencies or problems.

This cycling tour is suitable for a variety of skill levels.  Rest stops will have plenty of fluids and refueling munchies.  Helmets are required for all riders!

If you rode in the Bloomin Bike Ride or the Tour de Tow and you would like to comment please do so in the write a review section.
Covid-19
We realize that COVID-19 is still looming, but we also feel an active lifestyle cultivating better health is an important tool to fend off illness, so we will be working on our wellness at this event. Masks and distancing have become habitual for most, and will be stressed here as well.
Featured Cyclist
This is the only ride that gives the opportunity to one of our participating cyclists the chance to be our featured cyclist for he next year. This year’s winner is avid cyclist, Carla Katz from Orlando, Carla will be featured on this year’s logo, which is on all print media and the ride shirt. All of the above is what keeps our cyclists coming back to experience even more of our hometown cycling hospitality!
Rest Stops

This is a cycling event that sets us apart by providing great cycling support via fully stocked rest stops with friendly volunteers. The "Barn" which everyone LOVES, and Mosaic Boardwalk, that is a county park boardwalk on the Peace River serve as a relaxing stop to refuel and recharge. A Sheriff Deputy escort s on route for any needs.  Trailing vehicles for assistance and aid, course photographer, & great food provided by some of Bartow’s finest restaurants are all part of the day.  If you have ANY suggestions that you would like to see for "food for fuel" let me know in the day after comments.

If you have any requests for "food fuel" for the rest stops please let me know. We aim to please: we WILL have dill pickles, PBJ's (I sneak one or two of these myself) bananas, coke, Gatorade, Water, cookies, what else????

Award Winning Ride!
We are proud to announce that the Main Street Bartow, Inc. and Bartow Cycling Events won a Merit Award for an Outstanding Florida Main Street Fundraising Development Effort presented to us at the Florida Main Street Secretary of State Awards Dinner in August, 2017 for our Bloomin Bike Ride and Tour de Tow cycling events here in Bartow.....that was pretty cool!
