Wellfleet Sprint Triathlon

The Wellfleet Sprint Triathlon began in 2011 as the Lower Cape Sprint Triathlon and was established to raise money for Cape Cod's only nonprofit community radio station, WOMR. Dubbed "a great race in a most beautiful place," Wellfleet is one of Cape Cod's most picturesque towns. Part of the race course is located on a vista overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

A 1/4-mile swim in the clear waters of a Cape Cod "kettle pond"; a 10-mile bike through the rolling hills of the Cape Cod National Seashore; and a 3-mile run past the famed Beachcomber restaurant and back. The paved bike/run course, traversing a natural pine forest, will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Yes! Your choice: 2-person or 3-person.

Chip timed. Results are expected to be posted to  the Wellfleet Tri website and coolrunning.com within a day. Results link will be posted on this website and the race Facebook page.

Results will count toward national and regional rankings. All USAT rules and regulations will apply. Racers are subject to time penalties or disqualification for infractions of USAT rules.

Private transfers will be allowed as long as both parties notify registration personnel by June 1st. There will be no refunds.

This triathlon is WOMR 92.1FM and WFMR 91.3FM, Community Radio for Cape Cod's largest fundraiser.
