2025 Lightfest

Bike Through the Lights

Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 7:00 PM

Participate in your own light parade at Bike Through the Lights and be among the first to see the 2025 Wayne County Lightfest! Bike riders will bike to the Warrendale Park and back (16K). Participants can turn around at any point.

*Participants will receive a 2025 Lightfest Hat, bike light and post event snacks.

Lightfest hat and bike light guaranteed to the first 500 participants for Bike Through the Lights.

The start and finish of the bike event are at Merriman Hollow Park in Westland. The address for Merriman Hollow Park is 7651 N. Merriman Road in Westland.  Hines Drive will be closed for vehicle traffic for the event. All riders must wear a helmet and have a light due to two-way bike traffic.

Registration Fees for Bike Through the Lights:

Adults

$31.50 until October 31, 2025

$36.50 from November 1 through noon on November 14

$40.00 at Packet pick up on November 17 and on event day (November 18)

Kids (18 and younger)

$20 until October 31, 2025

$26.50 from November 1 through noon on November 14

$35.00 at Packet pick up on November 17 and on event day (November 18)

Online registration will take place until November 11 at noon.  Registration will also take place at Packet Pickup at Merriman Hollow Park (7651 N. Merriman Rd.) on Monday, November 17 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and on event day, November 18, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM.  Cash/check only for on-site registration.

Lightfest Run/Walk

Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 7:00 PM

See the Wayne County Lightfest in a whole new way by running or walking the route!

*Participants will receive a 2025 Lightfest hat, Lightfest 2025 medal, transportation back to the start line after the event and post event snacks

Lightfest hat and medal guaranteed to the first 1,000 participants for the Lightfest Run/Walk.

The start line is at Merriman Hollow Park in Westland (7651 N. Merriman Road in Westland) and the finish line is at Warrendale Park near the Hype Recreation Center (23302 W. Warren Avenue in Dearborn Heights). Hines Drive will be closed for vehicle traffic for the event.

Please park at the start area and shuttle busses will transport you back to Merriman Hollow after the event. 

Registration Fees for the Lightfest Run/Walk:

Adults

$36.50 until October 31, 2025

$41.50 from November 1 through noon on November 14

$45 at Packet pick up on November 17 and on event day (November 19)

Kids (18 and younger)

$26.50 until October 31, 2025

$31.50 from November 1 through noon on November 15

$35.00 at Packet pick up on November 17 and on event day (November 19)

No dogs are allowed due to the bus transportation and large amount of participants.

There is a 2.5 hour time limit for participation for the Lightfest Run/walk.
