What you will learn
Led by Danielle Adler and Stephanie Allen, the goal of this clinic is to give athletes the tools necessary to limit their exposure to overuse injuries. This 2-hour interactive clinic (8:00am-10:00am) will demonstrate proper lifting techniques and how to appropriately program weight training into a workout routine.
Attendees will learn:
- How to effectively incorporate a warm up and strengthen key accessory muscles important for running
- Proper lifting mechanics and how to incorporate them appropriately into a training program
- The benefits of cadence training and how to apply it
About Your Instructors
This clinic will be led by Danielle Adler PT, DPT, Certified DN, NAIOMT Level 1 Certified, USATF and Stephanie Allen PT, DPT, OCS.
In addition to her numerous certifications and experience working with athletes of all ages and abilities Danielle is a physical therapist with Boston Physical Therapy & Wellness and an avid runner. She is also the founder of RunFitDoc, a program designed to provide runners with video analysis, training programs, and the tools to improve mechanics and decrease the risk for injury.
Steph Allen is also with Boston Physical Therapy & Wellness and is currently a member of the Strength Faction program, which aims to guide personal and athletic trainers, strength coaches, and clinicians on the path to solid program writing, good nutrition and lifting technique, high level coaching strategies, and overall goal setting and planning.
