Why is the race 4 Miles?
4 miles is the average distance many people in the world have to walk in order to obtain drinking water. How does a 4 miles walk sound before your morning coffee?

Additional Event Information

In order to preserve our fresh water resources and have a positive impact on the global water crisis, we must create more awareness and reconnect people with the fresh water resources in our own backyard. All of which can be achieved through 4 Miles 4 Water!

On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, 4 Miles 4 Water will take place at a new venue and at a new time! The Greater Cleveland Aquarium and Jacobs Nautica Pavilion waterfront will host this educational and recreational event. Enjoy views of downtown Cleveland and the Cuyahoga River waterfront during the festival, run and walk!

Why is it $30 to register?
$30 is the average cost to bring clean drinking water to one person -- for life! Your registration fee will be used to improve the lives of those who have limited access to safe drinking water. And if you're 17 and under, we'll discount the registration fee to just $10.
Where does my money really go?
Since our founding, we have completed countless projects locally and in our sister-country, Uganda. Read all about our projects HERE, and keep up to date on all things Drink Local. Drink Tap. HERE
Why no race t-shirt?
One cotton t-shirt requires 700 gallons of water to produce. As champions of our world's water supply, our goal is to raise awareness responsibly. That's why we'll give you a reusable, stainless steel water bottle instead. You're welcome!
