The John Holmes Trail Run is enjoying its 26th running in 2017. The John Holmes Trail Run is the Southeast's Oldest 50K Trail Run. This race has it all - fantastic course, beautiful shirts, great awards, delicious post race feast, and a wonderful crew of volunteers.
John Holmes Trail Run - 25th Anniversary
The John Holmes Trail Run is the Southeast's Oldest 50K Trail Run - this will be the 26th anniversary. There is a distance for everyonoe with 50K, 16M, and 9M. Great course, fantastic food, nice awards... - this is a race not to miss.
THE COURSE
Croom Hiking Trail through central Florida’s long leaf pines, scrub oak covered hills, past creek bottoms & cypress ponds. All races start and finish at the Tucker Hill Fire Tower. There will be a 4:00pm cut off.
50K starts at 7:00am, 16 mile and 9 mile runs start at 8:00am.
RACE T-SHIRTS
Race T-shirts are guaranteed to all participants that pre-register.
AWARDS
All 50K Finishers receive and award and the Top Finishers for the 16M/9M will receive awards. Trophies for overall and masters winners.
PACKET PICKUP
Race packets can be picked up from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm on Friday night before the race. The packet pickup will be at the Fire tower. You will also be able to pick up the race packets the morning of the race if you are unable to make it Friday night starting at 5:30am. The race has a total limit of 250 runners and a limit of 125 16M runners.
DROP BAGS
Drop bags will be taken to an aid station on the 7 mile loop
WATER STOPS / AID STATIONS
3 water stops are along the 7 mile loop. Aid stations for 50K will include fruit, snacks, soda, candy, and gels after the 1st loop
POST RACE
Picnic Feast includes grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit, snacks, desserts…

REFUNDS, EXCHANGES, AND TRANSFER POLICY
Unfortunately, there are no refunds, exchanges, or transfers.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of Management’s control such as a natural disaster or other emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Management may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes.
