Pacifico Down River R2 Raft Sprint

Please note: Rafts will NOT be provided for competing teams this year. You must provide your own boat at a max length of 10.5 feet. This is a team event. When registering, please make sure to have your teammate’s email. First registered team member will pay and then invite their teammate. All participants for a team must be registered by June 1, 2021.

Identical in format to the Down River Kayak and SUP Sprints, the R2 Raft Sprint is a 4-mile raft race (two person rafts) on the Class II/III whitewater of Gore Creek from East Vail to the Covered Bridge in Vail Village. With a rally race format, rafters drop at timed intervals and teams will be racing against the clock.

Due to COVID-related production shutdowns and delays nationally, Hyside will not be able to supply rafts for this year’s GoPro Mountain Games. We greatly appreciate their past support of the event and have been told that they should be back on board for next year’s event. Therefore, Rafts will NOT be provided for competing teams this year.
