Patient Advocate Foundation is a national 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, headquartered in Hampton, VA, which provides professional case management services to U.S. citizens with chronic, life threatening and debilitating illnesses.

One of our programs, Scholarship for Survivors, provides scholarships to students whose educational pursuits have been impacted by cancer or chronic illness. Each student in the program has an incredibly unique and special story.

Here’s Lauren's Story: "Cancer has had a profound impact on me.  Both my brother and I have a rare genetic predisposition to all forms of cancer.  Between the two of us, we have battled cancer 9 times.  With the help of PAF's Scholarship for Survivors program, I am pursuing a career as a pediatric oncology nurse and plan to use my experiences to help others."
