Event Information
Kick off your spring fitness goals with Fitness 101.2, TeamFootWorks' 7-week beginner-friendly training program designed to help you complete a 5K while building healthier habits. Whether you're brand new to exercise or getting back to a routine, this program will help you build fitness, boost energy, and improve your well being.
Fitness 101.2 is the second of our three yearly sessions and a great way to stay consistent, or to start fresh, before the Lexus Corporate Run and other spring races.
Our Training Method
We use an easy, proven run/walk method to help you build endurance safely and confidently. Instead of running the full 3.1 miles at once, we break the workout into short, manageable intervals. These intervals give you time to recover, catch your breath, and stay strong throughout the workout.
At the start of the program, you might run for 1 minute and walk for 1 minute for a total of about 15 minutes. Each week, we gradually increase the run time and overall duration. By the end of the program, you’ll be able to run/walk comfortably for 40–45 minutes, which is perfect for completing a 5K.
Not a runner? We also offer a walking-only group! Walkers skip the run/walk intervals and simply walk the weekly distance. No pressure, no pace requirements—just movement and support.

Meets: Mondays & Wednesdays
Time: Arrive at 6:15 PM; warm-ups begin promptly at 6:30 PM

Parking: Curbside metered parking is available, along with a nearby garage (7300 SW 57th Ct.) and an uncovered lot.

Heat Warning
South Florida temperatures and humidity can run high. Please drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids 48 hours before, during, and after training. Wear proper running attire and be aware of signs of heat injury (dizziness, lack of sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech, etc.). Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation Policy: TeamFootWorks may postpone, cancel, or modify training due to weather or emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.
Refund Policy: Registration fees are non-refundable.
