The Leon Games is a high-intensity fitness competition designed to test the full spectrum of athletic performance—speed, strength, endurance, and grit.

Hosted at Ola Club in Doral, Florida, this hybrid race-style event combines running with functional workout stations in a fast-paced, professionally produced competition environment. Athletes will move through a structured course of runs and workouts, pushing their limits while racing the clock—and each other.

The Leon Games delivers precise timing, live results, and a true competitive experience for athletes of all levels—from everyday fitness enthusiasts to elite competitors.

Leon Games Trilogy Championship
The Leon Games Trilogy Championship is determined using a points-based scoring system designed to reward placement, consistency, and competitive depth across all three events.

Points are awarded per event, per division, and per gender. Trilogy standings are based on total points accumulated over the July 12, August 16, and September 13 events.

Only athletes who compete in all three events are eligible for Trilogy Championship awards.

Competition Format

The Leon Games follows a hybrid race format, inspired by endurance racing and functional fitness competitions.

  • Wave starts by division

Athletes will rotate through a series of functional challenges designed to keep heart rates high and performance measurable.

Divisions

The Leon Games offers multiple divisions so every athlete can compete at the right level:

Workloads and weights are adjusted by division while keeping the same course layout for all athletes.

Official Competition Rules

1. General Competition Rules

  1. The Leon Games is a timed hybrid fitness competition.
    Athletes compete to complete the full course in the fastest total time.
  2. All athletes must complete all required run segments and workout stations in the prescribed order. Skipping any portion of the course results in disqualification.
  3. Wave starts will be used. Athletes must start in their assigned wave and division.
  4. Chip timing is mandatory.
    Athletes must wear the assigned timing chip at all times during competition.
  5. The fastest official time wins.
    Time penalties may be added for movement violations or missed reps.

2. Divisions & Scaling

  1. The Leon Games offers multiple divisions (Open, Pro, Doubles, Relay, Masters).
  2. Each division follows the same course layout, with differences only in:
    • Load (weight)
    • Repetition count
    • Movement standards
  3. Athletes may not compete in a lower division than their ability level. The Leon Games reserves the right to reassign athletes if necessary.
  4. Doubles and relay teams may split work as specified, but both athletes must complete all run segments unless otherwise stated.

3. Course & Flow Rules

  1. Athletes must follow the clearly marked course at all times.
  2. Entry and exit points for each workout station must be used correctly.
  3. Athletes may not advance to the next station until:
    • All required work at the current station is completed
    • A judge signals approval
  4. Interference with other athletes, judges, or equipment is prohibited.

4. Workout Standards

  1. All movements will have clearly defined standards published prior to race day.
  2. A judge will be assigned to each lane or station.
  3. No-rep calls will be issued for movements that do not meet standards.
  4. Athletes must wait for the judge’s instruction before starting and after finishing each station.
  5. Chalk is allowed unless otherwise stated. Grip aids, straps, or gloves are not allowed unless specified by division rules.

5. Penalties

  1. Minor violations (missed reps, incorrect form):
    • No-rep call
    • Rep must be repeated
  2. Major violations (skipping work, repeated no-reps, unsportsmanlike conduct):
    • Time penalty added
    • Possible disqualification
  3. Penalty times will be standardized and communicated before the event.
  4. Judges’ calls are final.

6. Running Rules

  1. All run segments must be completed on the designated course.
  2. Cutting the course or missing run distance will result in:
    • Time penalty
    • Disqualification if uncorrected
  3. Athletes may not receive pacing assistance from spectators or coaches.

7. Equipment Rules

  1. Athletes may only use event-provided equipment unless explicitly stated.
  2. Adjustments to equipment (seat height, handle position) must be made within the athlete’s lane.
  3. Equipment must be left in a safe and orderly manner after use.

8. Athlete Conduct

  1. Athletes must display sportsmanship and respect at all times.
  2. Abusive language, aggressive behavior, or interference will not be tolerated.
  3. Athletes must follow all instructions from judges, staff, and volunteers.

9. Safety & Medical

  1. Athlete safety is the top priority.
  2. Medical staff will be on-site. Judges may stop an athlete if they determine it is unsafe to continue.
  3. Any athlete who withdraws or is removed for safety reasons will receive a DNF (Did Not Finish).

10. Protests & Appeals

  1. Protests must be submitted by the athlete within 15 minutes of posting unofficial results.
  2. Protests must be made at the designated results or timing desk.
  3. Video or spectator testimony may be reviewed at the discretion of the event director.
  4. All decisions by The Leon Games officials are final.

11. Results & Awards

  1. Official results will be posted after all penalties and protests are resolved.
  2. Podiums will be awarded by division.
  3. Awards may include:
    • Overall winners
    • Division winners

12. Final Authority

The Leon Games Event Director reserves the right to:

  • Modify rules for safety or fairness
  • Adjust schedules due to weather or logistics
  • Enforce penalties or disqualifications

Participation in The Leon Games constitutes acceptance of all rules.
