Program Dates and Target Race
The 2025 Summer (Halloween) Program begins on Saturday, July 12th, 2025.
This program is designed to prepare participants for the Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon in October. This unique event combines the excitement of Halloween with the thrill of a running event. Each year, the race features a different iconic Halloween character and offers a unique finisher medal. Participants are encouraged to run in costume and can compete in various categories, such as "Fastest Superhero" and "Fastest Monster."
Please note that program entry does not include registration for the Halloween Half Marathon. However, a discount code will be provided.

Saturday Long Runs
Long runs are a key component of any endurance training program! Our training sessions take place on Saturday mornings, starting from the FootWorks Running store in South Miami (5724 Sunset Dr.).
The first week begins at 7:00 am with a brief orientation followed by a 30-minute run/walk. For subsequent weeks, start times will vary depending on the distance, but we aim to complete our long runs by 8:00 am.
You'll be amazed at how quickly the time and miles fly by when you're running or walking with TeamFootWorks. The energy is contagious, and the friendships you build will make those early wake-up calls worth it.
Our location offers:
- Free curbside parking until 9 am
- Indoor bathrooms
- Storage racks to keep your belongings secure
Weekday Runs
While our long runs and walks build your endurance, it's the weekly running and cross-training that elevate your overall health and fitness. During the week, you’ll be responsible for completing two short runs or walks, each lasting no more than 60 minutes.
To help keep you on track, FootWorks hosts weekly fun runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm.
