Brooklyn Nets Game - Williams Syndrome

Join us on the boards as we raise awareness and funds for an All Star in our community and his team: Brooklyn's own, Anthony Filippazzo, is a young boy living with a rare genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome (WS). WS is a complex, multi system disorder caused by a deletion of 28 genes on chromosome #7. It causes systemic cardiovascular disease, namely stenosis of the arteries, and surgical procedures pose an enhanced risk due to a higher probability of sudden cardiac death. As the disease is genetic every organ system can be affected and there is currently no medication to mitigate the disease's effects. Anthony’s family has spent the past 12 years working very hard to raise awareness for Williams Syndrome and specifically as it relates to medical research.
